Hello everyone and as always thanks for stopping by.
Okay I took a much needed hiatus and now I’m back blogging and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be participating in the monthly IWSG as well as revisiting topics regarding science meeting the supernatural. I’ll be posting really cool stuff under these Blasts From the Past:
- Did You Know
- Fun Facts
- Kibbles and Bits
- Weekend Follies
But first, these are the co-hosts for September 2021’s Insecure Writers Support Group brought to you by Alex J. Cavanaugh and his team of epic co-hosts: Rebecca Douglas, T.PowellColtrain@JournalingWoman, Natalie Aguirre, Karen Lynn andC. Lee McKenzie.
Be sure to stop by their sites and give them some love for all their hard work!
September 1 question – How do you define success as a writer? Is it holding your book in your hand? Having a short story published? Making a certain amount of income from your writing?
Defining success as a writer at first was all about getting my books written, edited, then formatted and uploaded and published first in softbound then on Amazon Kindle. That was an epic battle and I truly consider myself and all you fine published and self-published writers as OVERCOMERS!!!
The next stage was getting my books into Barnes and Noble and Borders Books, scheduling book signings and promoting through Blog Tours (remember those!!!) with this epic blogging community. I still remember those who hosted me and the ones I helped.
Then it became about creating a passive income. Sure, things have slowed to a trickle. But now that it looks like the worst is over with Covid I’m ramping up promotions starting in October for Salem’s Daughters and I have really cool stuff planned for 2022.
Okay, now let’s shift gears.
For the rest of this post I’m linking the upcoming ComicCons for the rest of 2021. It’s been a long 18 months of nothingness. Let’s get out and enjoy a ComiCon near you and help support our local writers, artists, creators, fans and friends! Enjoy!!!
